Why We Chose Acuity Scheduling

One of the questions we're asked most often is:

"Why did Revide choose Acuity Scheduling?"

The short answer? Because it's a brilliant booking system.

Revide was never designed to replace appointment software. Our goal is to help brides discover stores, learn about them and book appointments more easily. Once a bride has chosen where she wants to visit, we believe stores should continue using the booking system they already know and trust. For many stores, that's Acuity Scheduling.

Built around bridal

Bridal appointments aren't like booking a haircut or reserving a restaurant table. Appointments are longer. Different appointment types need different lengths. Some stores take deposits and others allow multiple guests.

Many leave time between appointments for changing rooms, steaming dresses or simply having a cup of tea before welcoming the next bride. Acuity handles all of this incredibly well. Rather than reinvent something that already works, we decided to build alongside it.

The best of both worlds

Revide and Acuity each do different jobs. Revide helps brides:

• Read reviews.

• Book appointments.

Acuity then takes over, managing availability, calendars, confirmations, reminders and all of the day-to-day appointment management stores rely on. It's a partnership that simply makes sense.

Why we didn't build our own calendar

Could we? Probably.

Should we? Probably not.

There are already fantastic scheduling platforms that have spent years perfecting calendars and appointment management. We'd rather spend our time improving bridal discovery, supporting stores and building features that make the entire bridal journey better. That's where we believe we add the most value.

Looking ahead

Today, Revide integrates with Acuity Scheduling. Tomorrow, we'd love to support more booking platforms too. Our goal has never been to lock stores into one system. It's to meet stores where they already are. Because the easier we make it for stores to join Revide, the better the experience becomes for brides. And ultimately, that's what all of this is about. Helping more brides discover more incredible stores.
